Climate change, mitigation and adaptation: the case of the Murray–Darling Basin in Australia [PDF]

open access: yes
Climate change is likely to have substantial effects on irrigated agriculture. It is anticipated that many areas that are already dry will become drier, while areas that already receive high rainfall may experience further increases.

APOE‐stratified Proteomic and Metabolomic Analysis Reveals Mitochondrial Dysfunction Inflammation and Lipid Dysregulation in Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A large‐scale multiomic dataset (proteomic and metabolomic) comprising 3,060 plasma samples were analyzed to identify proteins, metabolites, pathways, and protein‐associated drugs linked to Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) independently of apolipoprotein E (APOE). AD was associated with a distinct molecular signature that captures.

A comparative study of selected Asian countries on carbon emission with respect to different trade and climate changes mitigation policy scenarios [PDF]

open access: yes
In this study we look at the case of China, India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam, and consider the following questions: (i) how to measure the impacts of trade and economic activities on the levels of CO2 emissions, (ii) how to measure the

Paving the Way to Elucidate Hg's Role in Tumorigenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tumorigenesis can result from diverse environmental carcinogens. Among them, mercury—a lifelong bioaccumulative Group 2B carcinogen—has tumorigenic potential that remains poorly understood due to confounding co‐exposures and limited organ‐specific data.

Climate Change 2007: Mitigation of Climate Change.

open access: yes, 2007

Restriction of Individual Branched‐Chain Amino Acids has Distinct Effects on the Development and Progression of Alzheimer's Disease in 3xTg Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Protein restriction (PR) slows Alzheimer's disease (AD) in mice, and other benefits of PR are due to decreased branched‐chain amino acids (BCAAs). We show that restricting any BCAA has benefits, with sex‐ and BCAA‐specific impacts on pathology, molecular signaling, and cognition.

SR‐B1‐Mediated Transplacental Transfer of Hydrophobic Toxicants Disrupts Fetal Development During Barriergenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study maps the spatiotemporal distribution of hydrophobic toxicants and endogenous metabolites in the developing placenta and fetus. By integrating mass spectrometry imaging with snRNA‐seq, we identify SR‐B1 as a key transporter driving early‐gestation xenobiotic transfer and reveal a critical exposure window associated with persistent fetal ...
