Nocturnal cooling in Local Climate Zone: Statistical approach using mobile measurements
Up-to-date climate scenarios warn that the frequency and intensity of heat waves are likely to increase in Europe during the twenty first century. In these circumstances, urban climate is progressively taken into account in urban planning processes, for ...

SuFEx‐Enabled Reprogramming of Flavonoids for Selective α‐Glucosidase Covalent Inhibition
Selective inhibition of intestinal α‐glucosidase remains limited by poor enzyme specificity and off‐target metabolic effects. Here, SuFEx click chemistry is used to reprogram natural flavonoids into covalent inhibitors with enhanced α‐glucosidase selectivity and controlled reactivity. This strategy enables effective regulation of carbohydrate digestion

Extra Climate Benefits From Afforestation Due to Reduced Forest Fragmentation in China
Afforestation in China reduced forest fragmentation in 2015, transforming 51.8 M ha of edge forests into interior forests. This enhanced carbon sequestration (1.4±0.2 Pg CO2e, a cooling biogeochemical effect), while reduced albedo (−0.9 Pg CO2e, a warming biophysical effect) partially offset the gain, yielding a net extra climate benefit of ...

To explore the impact of nanosizing on pesticide biointeractions, a 7‐nm (average) emamectin benzoate nanopesticide without nanocarriers or surfactants is fabricated via HOAc‐mediated disaggregation. Nanosizing enhances bioactivity against Megalurothrips usitatus and Meloidogyne enterolobii and improves plant penetration.

Infrared precipitation on climate hazards using rainfall dataset over inter-tropical convergence zone [PDF]
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: Hydrometeorological disaster management and agriculture sectors require accurate spatial and temporal rainfall data. However, in situ rainfall gauges were very limited and distributed unevenly.

Conventional passive radiative cooling films rely on costly feedstocks and energy‐intensive fabrication, with poor end‐of‐life compatibility in agriculture. To address this challenge, a sustainable radiative cooling mulch (SRCM) is developed from waste maize leaves via spontaneous hydrogen‐bond self‐assembly.

Chronic stress disrupts copper homeostasis and promotes copper accumulation in the prelimbic cortex, leading to astrocytic FDX1 upregulation. Elevated astrocytic FDX1 impairs calcium signaling, induces structural atrophy, and disrupts synaptic function, contributing to depressive‐like behaviors. Physical exercise reverses these alterations by restoring

Periprosthetic joint infection establishes a sophisticated immunosuppressive network between CXCR4+ PMN‐MDSCs and Bregs, inducing profound CD8+ T cell paralysis. Alendronate effectively disrupts this CXCR4+ PMN‐MDSC–Breg axis by targeting STAT3, thereby restoring local immune surveillance.
