Hydrothermal transformation of clinoptilolite

open access: yesBulletin of Materials Science, 1985
Procedure for hydrothermal transformation of natural clinoptilolite at 160°C is described. The synthesis is carried out in the system Na2O-Al2O3-SiO2-H2O. Products of 24–168 hr runs are characterized by x-ray diffraction,ir spectroscopy, energy dispersive analysis of x-rays (edax), and electron microscopy.

Improving Ammonium and Nitrate Release from Urea Using Clinoptilolite Zeolite and Compost Produced from Agricultural Wastes

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, 2015
Improper use of urea may cause environmental pollution through NH3 volatilization and NO3- leaching from urea. Clinoptilolite zeolite and compost could be used to control N loss from urea by controlling NH4+ and NO3- release from urea.

Use of a Natural Clinoptilolite Monolith as a Negative Temperature Coefficient Thermistor

open access: yesEngineering Proceedings, 2023
Geomorphic clinoptilolite, a mechanically and thermally stable mineral substance, has very useful electrical properties due to the presence of extra-framework cations in the crystal structure. Indeed, owing to the electrical transport that alkaline earth

Adsorption of Sulfur Dioxide on Clinoptilolite/Nano Iron Oxide and Natural Clinoptilolite

open access: yesHealth Scope, 2019
Background: Sulfur dioxide gas is known to include pollutants that are harmful to human health and the environment. Therefore, due to the increase of industrial activities, SO2 gas pollution control is very important. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate the efficiency of sulfur dioxide removal by iron oxide nanoparticles deposited ...
