Recent advances in mass clonal propagation of Teak [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
#Tectona grandis#, commonly called teak, is one of the best-known and highest value timbers in the world, with certain specific features that justify investment in clonal forestry.

Growth and economic performance comparison of twenty-year-old open-pollinated vs. clonal loblolly pine (Pinus taeda L.) genotypes in Louisiana, USA

open access: yesTrees, Forests and People
Long-term comparative studies of improved loblolly pine genotypes provide valuable performance data to guide forester management and small landowner decisions in the West Gulf Coastal Plain region.

Diagnostic accuracy of phosphatase and tensin homolog loss in differentiating between atypical endometrial hyperplasia/endometrioid intraepithelial neoplasia and non‐atypical endometrial hyperplasia: A systematic review and meta‐analysis

open access: yesInternational Journal of Gynecology &Obstetrics, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Accurate distinction between atypical endometrial hyperplasia/endometrioid intraepithelial neoplasia (AH/EIN) and non‐atypical endometrial hyperplasia (EH) determines whether patients require hysterectomy or can be managed conservatively.

Ginseng polysaccharides prevent mastitis through Lactobacillus murinus‐derived deoxycholic acid and TGR5 signaling

open access: yesiMetaOmics, EarlyView.
Prebiotic Ginseng polysaccharides (GP) alleviate mastitis through selective enrichment of gut L. murinus, which elevates its anti‐inflammatory metabolite deoxycholic acid (DCA). Circulating DCA engages mammary epithelial TGR5 receptors, triggering the cAMP–PKA pathway to suppress NF‐κB/NLRP3‐mediated inflammation.

Beyond Tradition: An Integrated Toxicological, Ecological, and Public Health Perspective on Aristolochic Acids

open access: yesJournal of Applied Toxicology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aristolochia species have long been used in traditional medicine for their presumed anti‐inflammatory, analgesic and antimicrobial properties. However, extensive toxicological and epidemiological evidence now demonstrates that these plants contain aristolochic acids (AAs) I and II, highly potent nephrotoxic, genotoxic, and carcinogenic ...

Phenotypic, physicochemical, sensory, and functional attributes of cocoa (Theobroma cacao L.) from Brazilian Amazonian floodplain and upland ecosystems

open access: yesJournal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, EarlyView.
Abstract BACKGROUND Cocoa (Theobroma cacao L.) from the Brazilian Amazon plays an important role in national production. While most cocoa is cultivated in upland systems, floodplain ecosystems represent a traditional and distinct production environment that may influence bean composition and quality.

Molecular Mechanism of the IRF1/NFE2L1‐DT/ALKBH5/Cx43 Axis in Radiation‐Induced Injury in Vascular Endothelial Cells Through Pyroptosis

open access: yesThe Kaohsiung Journal of Medical Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Radiotherapy effectively eradicates tumor cells but can also trigger pyroptotic damage in vascular endothelial cells. This study investigates the role of interferon regulatory factor 1 (IRF1) in radiation‐induced endothelial injury, aiming to provide mechanistic insights for optimizing radiotherapy.

REPRODUCTIVE PROCESSES IN CLONAL PLANTATIONS OF EUROPEAN SPRUCE OF FINNISH ORIGIN IN THE CONTEXT OF SUSTAINABLE FORESTRY

open access: yesAgriculture and Forestry
The study examines the peculiarities of reproductive processes in clonal plantations of European spruce (Picea abies (L.) Karst.) of Finnish origin in the context of sustainable forestry. The research is based on the analysis of generative structures' formation, specifically microstrobili and macrostrobili, as well as the general physiological state of

Application of Principal Component Analysis and Probabilistic Neural Networks in Ferralsols Recovery Evaluation Through Planting of Mabea Fistulifera and Eucalyptus Urograndis

open access: yesLand Degradation &Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study presents an innovative assessment model for analyzing the evolution of degraded soils subjected to different reclamation strategies. The proposal combines statistical and artificial intelligence tools to jointly integrate multiple physical and chemical soil properties, allowing for a more synthetic view of the processes.

Establishment of a clonal bank of Caesalpinia spinosa (Mol.) O. Kuntz by selection of plus trees and grafting

open access: yesBiotecnología Vegetal, 2017
In Ecuador, plant propagation techniques are not available commercially to establish clonal banks of Caesalpinia spinosa (Mol.) O. Kuntz (guarango) plus trees, which limits the development of in vitro propagation protocols of this specie.
