Clinical Insights Into Hypercalcemia of Malignancy in Childhood

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Hypercalcemia of malignancy (HCM) is a rare but life‐threatening metabolic emergency in children that occurs in less than 1% of pediatric cancer cases, with a reported incidence ranging from 0.4% to 1.0% across different studies. While it is observed in 10%–20% of adult malignancies, pediatric HCM remains relatively uncommon.

Closed-loop superconducting materials discovery

open access: yesnpj Computational Materials, 2023
Discovery of novel materials is slow but necessary for societal progress. Here, we demonstrate a closed-loop machine learning (ML) approach to rapidly explore a large materials search space, accelerating the intentional discovery of superconducting ...

Closed-loop controller design, stability analysis and hardware implementation for fractional neutron point kinetics model

open access: yesNuclear Engineering and Technology, 2021
The aim of this work is the analysis, design and hardware implementation of the fractional-order point kinetics (FNPK) model along with its closed-loop controller. The stability and closed-loop control of FNPK models are critical issues.

Stoichiometry and Change of the mRNA Closed-Loop Factors as Translating Ribosomes Transit from Initiation to Elongation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Protein synthesis is a highly efficient process and is under exacting control. Yet, the actual abundance of translation factors present in translating complexes and how these abundances change during the transit of a ribosome across an mRNA remains ...

Preferences of Pediatric Patients and Their Caregivers for Chemotherapy‐Induced Nausea and Vomiting Control Endpoints: A Mixed Methods Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Although not always achieved, complete chemotherapy‐induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) control is the conventional goal of CINV prophylaxis. In this two‐center, mixed‐methods study, we sought to understand the preferences of adolescent patients and family caregivers for CINV control endpoints.

Synthesis Identification Analysis for Closed Loop EIV System

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
This new paper combines errors-in-variable (EIV) system with closed loop situation to consider a more complex closed loop EIV system. Consider the identification problem for closed loop EIV system, synthesis analysis is completed from the point of system

Closed-loop Simulation Method for Evaluation of Static Offset in Discrete-Time Comparators [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
This paper presents a simulation-based method for evaluating the static offset in discrete-time comparators. The proposed procedure is based on a closed-loop algorithm which forces the input signal of the comparator to quickly converge to its effective ...

Mapping the evolution of mitochondrial complex I through structural variation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Respiratory complex I (CI) is crucial for bioenergetic metabolism in many prokaryotes and eukaryotes. It is composed of a conserved set of core subunits and additional accessory subunits that vary depending on the organism. Here, we categorize CI subunits from available structures to map the evolution of CI across eukaryotes. Respiratory complex I (CI)
