Experimental evaluation of the parameter-based closed-loop transfer function identification for electro-hydraulic servo systems

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2016
Closed-loop systems of an electro-hydraulic servo system including position, acceleration, and force closed-loop systems and their closed-loop transfer functions based on parameter model are adaptive identified using a recursive extended least-squares ...

Closed-loop autonomous docking system [PDF]

open access: yes, 1992
An autonomous docking system is provided which produces commands for the steering and propulsion system of a chase vehicle used in the docking of that chase vehicle with a target vehicle.

Closing loops without places

open access: yes2010 IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems, 2010
This paper proposes a new topo-metric representation of the world based on co-visibility that simplifies data association and improves the performance of appearance-based recognition. We introduce the concept of dynamic bagof-words, which is a novel form of query expansion based on finding cliques in the landmark co-visibility graph.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Performance analysis of battery E-vehicle system using open loop and closed loop application

open access: yesMeasurement: Sensors
Electric vehicle (E-vehicle) will be an alternate transportation vehicle in this world due to unavailability of fossil fuel. The CO2 emissions from fossil fuel based vehicle have been considerably reduced.

Closed loop electrostatic levitation system [PDF]

open access: yes, 1985
An electrostatic levitation system is described, which can closely control the position of objects of appreciable size. A plurality of electrodes surround the desired position of an electrostatically charged object, the position of the objects is ...

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

Control analysis and experimental verification of a practical dc–dc boost converter

open access: yesJournal of Electrical Systems and Information Technology, 2015
This paper presents detailed open loop and closed loop analysis on boost dc–dc converter for both voltage mode control and current mode control. Here the boost dc–dc converter is a practical converter considering all possible parasitic elements like ESR ...

Theoretical and Experimental Analyses of Nutrient Control in Electrical Conductivity-Based Nutrient Recycling Soilless Culture System

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2021
An electrical conductivity (EC)-based closed-loop soilless culture system is practical for in-field deployment. Literature on the closed-loop soilless culture nutrient management premise the limitations in managing recycled nutrients under dynamic ...

Design of asynchronous supervisors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
One of the main drawbacks while implementing the interaction between a plant and a supervisor, synthesised by the supervisory control theory of \citeauthor{RW:1987}, is the inexact synchronisation.
