Management of Closed Fractures

Clinics in Podiatry, 1985
A closed fracture is defined as a break in the continuity of the bone which does not communicate with the outside of the body. Management of the patient includes a thorough assessment of the fracture, evaluation of other injuries, and reduction as indicated. The patient is carefully observed for complications should problems arise.

Closed Management of Mandibular Fractures

Archives of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, 1972
This study was based upon 52 consecutive cases of mandibular fractures. All patients were initially managed by closed reduction. Twenty-eight of the 52 who were managed by closed methods met one or more of the usual criteria (location, displacement, comminution, status of dentition, or unfavorability) for open reduction.
