This study aims to evaluate the efficacy of closed reduction and the effects of timing and fracture types on patient satisfaction.Only patients with isolated nasal fractures were included in the study. Patients with additional maxillofacial fractures and patients whose application time to our clinic was more than 10 days after the trauma were excluded.

Closed Unstable Fractures of the Tibia
Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research, 1988Unstable closed tibial fractures are those with major soft tissue damage, complete displacement, significant comminution, direct force mechanism, or articular surface involvement. Although the "average" tibial fracture is effectively managed without surgery, patients with such injuries frequently have prolonged convalescence and unsatisfactory anatomic

Closed Reduction of Hand Fractures
Clinics in Plastic Surgery, 2005Stiffness is the most frequent consequence of open hand fracture treatment. Although initial injury severity and occurrence adjacent to the flexor tendon sheath are the most highly correlated determinants of hand fracture outcome, operative intervention accentuates the ultimate risk of stiffness. Closed treatment may minimize this risk.

Closed Fractures and Dislocations
2013Trauma patients commonly present with fractures that add to the difficulty dealing treating such patients. Closed fractures and dislocations, just like open fractures, can add to a patient’s morbidity and even mortality if not dealt in a timely manner. Through proper physical examination and radiographic evaluation, trauma patient’s boney injuries can ...

Closed nailing of tibial shaft fractures
Injury, 1990A total of 98 tibial shaft fractures were internally fixed by closed intramedullary nailing. Twenty-seven of the fractures were open and 71 were closed. In 62 patients (67 per cent) the fracture was the consequence of road traffic accidents; 32 patients (35 per cent) had other skeletal and soft tissue injuries.

Closed Nailing of Femoral-Shaft Fractures
The Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery, 1972Kuntscher's method of closed intramedullary nailing of fractures of the shaft of the femur was used in forty-two fractures. All united and complications were minimum. The advantages and disadvantages and the indications and contraindications are described, with emphasis on the need for the proper apparatus and for following the exacting details of the ...

Closed Ankle Fractures in the Diabetic Patient
Foot & Ankle International, 2000Systemic and local manifestations of diabetes mellitus may complicate the treatment of ankle fractures in the diabetic population. We studied 98 patients (73 non-diabetics and 25 diabetics) who were treated for closed ankle fractures by either surgical or non-surgical methods. We found that overall, the risk of infection in the diabetic population (32%)

The Closed Treatment of Fractures
2016Conservative management can arguably be more challenging and labour intensive than many operative techniques. When resources are limited, non-operative treatments become the default method. Done well, the results can be very similar to those of operative management.
