Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Closed essential surfaces in hyperbolizable acylindrical 3-manifolds [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
We show that a compact hyperbolizable acylindrical 3-manifold with non-empty incompressible boundary, in which every boundary component has genus at least two, necessarily contains a closed immersed essential ...

New topological approach of generalized closed sets

open access: yesJournal of New Results in Science, 2015
Closedness is a basic concept for the study and the investigation in the general topological spaces. (Fukutake, Nasef and El- Maghrabi, 2003) introduced a new weakly form of generalized closed sets,γg−closed set, which is weaker than both of gs−closed ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Closed Set Mining of Biological Data [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
We present a closed set data mining paradigm which is particularly effective for uncovering the kind of deterministic, causal dependencies that characterize much of basic science.

The Completeness Criterion for Closure Operator with the Equality Predicate Branching on the Set of Multioperations on Two-Element Set

open access: yesИзвестия Иркутского государственного университета: Серия "Математика", 2019
Multioperations are operations from a finite set A to set of all subsets of A. The usual composition operator leads to a continuum of closed sets. Therefore, the research of closure operators, which contain composition and other operations becomes ...

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

On Nano πgb-Closed Sets

open access: yesJournal of New Theory, 2018
In this paper we introduce a new class of sets called nano πgb-closed sets and nano πgb-open sets. We study some of its basic properties.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.
