Is C-testing superior to cloze?

Language Testing, 1995
Several recent studies have suggested C-testing to be a highly valid and reliable measure of general language proficiency avoiding the problems with cloze testing. This study investigates the feasibility of the procedure with native and non-native speakers of English.
