Cluster Randomised Controlled Trials
2008The unit of random allocation usually takes one of two forms: individual or cluster. In previous chapters we have considered randomised trials where individuals are randomised to one of the comparator groups. A cluster trial, sometimes known as a group or place randomised trial, randomises groups of individuals to the relevant trial arms.
