Wetting and spreading behaviour of molten CMAS towards thermal barrier coatings and its influencing factors

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2021
Thermal barrier coatings (TBCs) are inevitably subject to corrosion caused by molten calcium-magnesium-alumino-silicate (CMAS), which leads to severe degradation in the properties of the coatings.

Construction of a molten CMAS-resistant bilayer-structured apatite layer used for thermal barrier coatings

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Ceramics
Molten calcium–magnesium–alumina–silicate (CMAS) is easy to wet and penetrates into thermal barrier coatings (TBCs), causing coating corrosion and premature failure.

A qualitative screening tool to identify athletes with ‘high-risk’ movement mechanics during cutting: The cutting movement assessment score (CMAS) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
© 2019 Elsevier Ltd Objective: To assess the validity of the cutting movement assessment score (CMAS) to estimate the magnitude of peak knee abduction moments (KAM) against three-dimensional (3D) motion analysis, while comparing whole-body kinetics and ...

SPSB1 Promotes Subcutaneous Adipose Hyperplasia in Facial Port‐Wine Stains by Controlling HDAC1 Degradation and Stability Through Two Distinct Proteolytic Pathways

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In PWS‐ASPCs, FOSL1 drives the expression of SPSB1. SPSB1, as part of the ESC complex, further binds to HDAC1 and promotes K29‐linked and K48‐linked polyubiquitination of HDAC1. These modifications facilitate the degradation of HDAC1 through the ALP and UPS pathways, respectively.

Corrosion behavior of Gd2Zr2O7 thermal barrier coatings under Fe-containing environmental sediment attack

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Ceramics
Environmental sediments mainly consisting of CaO–MgO–Al2O3–SiO2 (CMAS) corrosion are a serious threat to thermal barrier coatings (TBCs), in which Fe element is usually ignored. Gd2Zr2O7 TBCs are famous for their excellent CMAS resistance. In this study,

Al2O3-modified 7YSZ thermal barrier coatings for protection against volcanic ash corrosion

open access: yesnpj Materials Degradation, 2022
To prevent volcanic ash corrosion using thermal barrier coatings (TBCs), a novel method using Al2O3-modification was proposed to reduce molten CMAS wettability on TBCs surface through a lotus effect.
