The CMG DNA helicase and the core replisome

open access: yesCurrent Opinion in Structural Biology, 2023
Eukaryotic DNA replication is performed by the replisome, a large and dynamic multi-protein machine endowed with the required enzymatic components for the synthesis of new DNA. Recent cryo-electron microscopy (cryoEM) analyses have revealed the conserved architecture of the core eukaryotic replisome, comprising the CMG (Cdc45-MCM-GINS) DNA helicase ...

Geological characteristics and gas-bearing evaluation of coal-measure gas reservoirs in the Huanghebei coalfield

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science, 2023
Bystudying the source reservoir geochemical characteristics, reservoir cap physical properties, gas-bearing characteristics and reservoir-forming types of the coal-measure gas (CMG) accumulation system, the potential of CMG resources in the Huanghebei ...

Characterization of Extracellular Vesicles Labelled with a Lipophilic Dye Using Fluorescence Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis

open access: yesMembranes, 2021
Research on extracellular vesicles (EVs) has intensified over the past decade, including fluorescent membrane labeling of EVs. An optimal fluorescent method requires the size of EVs to be preserved after labeling.

Myc and the Replicative CMG Helicase: The Creation and Destruction of Cancer [PDF]

open access: yesBioEssays, 2020
AbstractMyc‐driven tumorigenesis involves a non‐transcriptional role for Myc in over‐activating replicative Cdc45‐MCM‐GINS (CMG) helicases. Excessive stimulation of CMG helicases by Myc mismanages CMG function by diminishing the number of reserve CMGs necessary for fidelity of DNA replication and recovery from replicative stresses.

Dynamics of the Eukaryotic Replicative Helicase at Lagging-Strand Protein Barriers Support the Steric Exclusion Model

open access: yesCell Reports, 2019
Summary: Progression of DNA replication depends on the ability of the replisome complex to overcome nucleoprotein barriers. During eukaryotic replication, the CMG helicase translocates along the leading-strand template and unwinds the DNA double helix ...

Nonlocomotory Robotic Strategies for Dynamic Rotation Control in Terrestrial Robots: A Review

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Terrestrial robots increasingly require rapid body rotation to maintain stability and agility in complex environments. This review shows nonlocomotory rotational control strategies that operate without ground contact, including reaction wheels, tails, bars, limbs, and thrusters.

Magnetic and transport properties of amorphous, B2 and L21 Co2MnGa thin films

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2020
We have studied the magnetic and transport properties of Co2MnGa (CMG) thin films grown on MgO(100) substrates in terms of their chemical evolution from amorphous to ordered L21 phases at the substrate temperature Ts during the thin film deposition ...

Modeling and frequency control of community micro-grids under stochastic solar and wind sources

open access: yesEngineering Science and Technology, an International Journal, 2020
The Community Micro-Grid (CMG) is a coordinated local grid area served by one or more distribution substations supported by local renewable and other distributed energy resources (DER). In an islanded mode, the CMG stability reduces due to low inertia of
