A CMOS Vision Sensor for Background Subtraction
2020 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS), 2020Background subtraction is one of the first steps in many video processing algorithms. Thus, a real-time processing with low power consumption is convenient for different applications where power hungry devices with high computational capabilities can not be deployed.

A CMOS Image Sensor for DNA Microarrays
2007 IEEE Custom Integrated Circuits Conference, 2007An image sensor designed with standard 0.18 mum CMOS technology is used to construct a DNA microarray scanner. The detection limit of 4590 fluorophores/mum2 is compared with 4.49 fluorophores/mum2 of a commercial photomultiplier-tube-based microarray scanner.

CMOS stress sensors on [100] silicon
IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits, 2000CMOS analog stress sensor circuits based upon the piezoresistive behavior of MOSFET's are presented. On the [100] surface, these circuits provide temperature-compensated outputs that are proportional to the in-plane normal stress difference (/spl sigma/(11)'-/spl sigma//sub 22/') and the in-plane shear stress /spl sigma//sub 22/'.

Next generation CMOS temperature sensors
2017 7th IEEE International Workshop on Advances in Sensors and Interfaces (IWASI), 2017Today, CMOS Temperature sensors are predominantly based on parasitic bipolar junction transistors (BJTs). This is because such sensors can achieve high accuracy (< 0.1C error) after a single room-temperature calibration. Although resistor-based temperature sensors can achieve higher resolution and energy-efficiency, they usually require multi-point ...
