Multiplexed Luminal Tissue Constructs with Reconfigurable Barriers for Dynamic Modeling of Multi‐Tissue Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, Volume 11, Issue 5, 6 March 2026.
This study describes the fabrication of arrays of luminal tissue constructs for 3D luminal tissue modeling. An oil or media‐filled reservoir between constructs serves as a liquid barrier or bridge to regulate communication between lumens within the array for modeling multi‐tissue interactions in vitro. Abstract Cell‐lined luminal structures are crucial

Contactless Terahertz “Fiber Squeezer” for Tunable Dispersion Engineering in Unclad Silicon Dielectric Waveguides

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2026.
Terahertz microscale silicon waveguides can be wholly unclad, making it possible to interact with guided waves contactlessly via evanescent fields. We exploit this with conductive walls that enforce a movable field‐null upon modal fields, enabling tunable dispersion and cutoff similar to a fiber squeezer, albeit without physical contact.

A Systematic Review of 3D‐Printed Flexible Strain Sensors: Materials, Architectures, and Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Sensor Research, Volume 5, Issue 3, March 2026.
This systematic review analyses 76 studies on 3D‐printed flexible strain sensors and shows how printing route, material system, architecture, and transduction mechanism influence performance. It highlights persistent inconsistency in sensitivity reporting, particularly between linear and maximum gauge factor, and shows that 3D‐printing functions as a ...
