Performance of Adaptive MS-GSC with Co-Channel Interference
2011 IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC), 2011Minimum selection generalized selection combining(MS-GSC) scheme has been proposed as a generalized power-saving variant of the conventional generalized selection combining(GSC) scheme. Previous analysis of the performance of MS-GSC has focused on interference-free environments. This paper aims to investigate the performance of adaptive signal-to-noise

Co-Channel Interference Cancellation in Wireless Cellular Networks
VTC Spring 2008 - IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference, 2008In this paper, we study the benefits of using iterative multi-user detectors for co-channel interference suppression in wireless cellular systems. We show that with a single receive antenna a receiver is capable of detecting and cancelling a single in-band interferer using the same modulation and coding scheme as the desired signal.

Co-channel interference analysis of shadowed Rician channels
IEEE Communications Letters, 1998This paper presents an exact analysis of co-channel interference (CCI) in a shadowed-Nakagami (desired)/shadowed-Rician (interfering) channel. Because a Rician distribution can be closely approximated by a Nakagami distribution (Nakagami 1960), the proposed analysis can be viewed as a close approximation of a shadowed-Rician (desired)/shadowed-Rician ...

Co-Channel Interference Separation
1980Abstract : The objective of this effort was to investigate techniques to reduce the signal degradation due to co-channel and adjacent-channel voice-on-voice interference. Sorting and suppression techniques using linear prediction coefficients and an adaptive comb filter were investigated. Limited success was achieved.

Performance analysis of femtocells network with co-channel interference
Signal Processing, 2014In this paper, we will provide the performance analysis of a small cell network employing linear precoding at the base stations. The locations of the base stations are assumed to be Poisson distributed. Exact closed-form expressions for overall outage probability (OOP), symbol error probability (SEP) and capacity are derived, and an asymptotic ...

IEEE Wireless Communications Letters, 2018
In this letter, we derive the upper bound and the lower bound of the achievable rate for the interference-unaware receive transformation (IURT), which does not require interference knowledge or precoding, to obtain the criterion for making IURT become interference free in multiple-input–multiple-output (MIMO) systems under co-channel interference.

Evaluating the effects of co-channel interference inwireless networks
2013 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing, 2013The growing demand for wireless services has led to the introduction of new paradigms in spectrum sharing such as the unlicensed ISMand U-NII bands and dynamic or opportunistic spectrum access through cognitive radios. Coexistence of users in these technologies leads to increases in co-channel interference (CCI) which needs to be appropriately ...

Co-Channel Interference Management in Visible Light Communication
2020 29th Wireless and Optical Communications Conference (WOCC), 2020Visible Light Communication (VLC) is the hope for keeping up the rapid increase of user’s data demands. VLC provides high-speed data connections. However; it suffers from limited optical bandwidth, and performance decline due to either inter-symbol interference (ISI) or co-channel interference (CCI).

Dynamic channel assignment with cumulative co-channel interference
ACM SIGMOBILE Mobile Computing and Communications Review, 2004This paper studies the problem of centralized dynamic channel assignment (DCA) in wireless cellular systems under space and time-varying channel demand. The objective is to minimize the number of channels required to satisfy demand while also satisfying co-channel interference constraints.
