From mice to humans—divergent strategies for intestinal homeostasis and regeneration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Recent advances such as organoid genome editing, xenotransplantation, imaging, and whole‐genome sequencing have enabled direct studies of human intestinal stem cells (ISCs). These studies reveal species‐specific features, including slower ISC proliferation, distinct injury responses, slower somatic mutation accumulation in humans, and an inverse ...

Time Interference Alignment via Delay Offset for Long Delay Networks

open access: yes, 2011
The potential of Time Interference Alignment is investigated in this work, with particular reference to the attainable degrees of freedom. The K-user interference channel is considered, in which transmitters and receivers are placed randomly in a ...

Interference alignment at intermediate SNR with perfect or noisy CSI [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Interference alignment is a new technique combining transmitter precoding and receiver interference suppression to achieve the optimal multiplexing gain in interference networks by exploiting knowledge of channel state information of all transmission ...

Co-channel interference Assessment for LMDS Macroscopic Diversity Cellular Architecture [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
[[abstract]]Local multipoint distribution system (LMDS) uses cellular fashion to cover service area. In this broadband wireless cellular network, co-channel interference is a severe problem for system performance egradation because the frequency must ...

Joint detection-estimation of directional channel parameters using the 2-D frequency domain SAGE algorithm with serial interference cancellation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
In this paper, the serial interference cancellation (SIC) technique and the frequency domain SAGE (FD-SAGE) algorithm are jointly used to detect and estimate the radio channel parameters of interest.

In vitro and in silico modelling of ROS1‐positive non‐small cell lung cancer reveals fusion‐dependent tyrosine kinase inhibitor responses

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

A solution for 5G indoor and outdoor co-frequency network interference

open access: yesDianxin kexue, 2022
5G indoor and outdoor deployment with the same frequency will lead to the decline of network coverage performance and user service experience. The causes of indoor and outdoor interference with the same frequency was systematically analyzed. The principle ...

Raman‐based label‐free microscopic analysis of the pancreas in living zebrafish larvae

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Forward stimulated Raman scattering (F‐SRS) and epi coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (E‐CARS) allow label‐free discrimination of distinct subcellular structures in the pancreas of living zebrafish larvae. Given the straightforward applicability, we anticipate broad implementation of Raman microscopy in other organs and across various biomedical ...

A Joint Sub-Channel and Power Allocation Algorithm in Co-Channel Heterogeneous Femtocell Network

open access: yesDianxin kexue, 2015
A joint sub-channel and power allocation algorithm was proposed to suppress co-channel interference. Power control and handover mechanism could be used to suppress the co-channel cross-tier and intra-tier interference achieved by the power allocation for
