Fast DOA estimation using co‐prime array

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2018
A new method is proposed to estimate the direction‐of‐arrivals (DOAs) of multiple narrow‐band signals using a co‐prime array (CPA). The CPA is divided into two uniform linear arrays (ULAs) and two polynomials are derived by utilising the unitary transformation technique on the covariance matrices of these two ULAs.

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

A NiCo2O4@Ni-Co-Ci core-shell nanowire array as an efficient electrocatalyst for water oxidation at near-neutral pH [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
It is attractive but still remains challenging to develop efficient water oxidation electrocatalysts working in a carbonate (Ci) electrolyte. In this communication, we report that a Ni-Co-Ci layer can be developed on a NiCo2O4 nanowire array supported on

Direction of Arrival Estimation Using Co-Prime Arrays: A Super Resolution Viewpoint [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, 2014
We consider the problem of direction of arrival (DOA) estimation using a newly proposed structure of non-uniform linear arrays, referred to as co-prime arrays, in this paper. By exploiting the second order statistical information of the received signals, co-prime arrays exhibit O(MN) degrees of freedom with only M + N sensors. A sparsity based recovery

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

DOA estimation for different frequency with different angles based on wideband co-prime array

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
Most of the signals received in the field of wireless communication, radar, and sonar are wideband, so there is an active research on wideband direction-of-arrival (DOA).

Decreased cold‐sensing function of the transient receptor potential channel TRPM8 from tailed amphibians

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Despite frogs avoiding low temperatures, examination of four salamander species revealed that none avoided cold and all possessed cold tolerance. Functional analysis of TRPM8, a cold sensor, showed that all salamander TRPM8s had lost their cold sensitivity.

Combined 5‐aminolevulinic acid and ferric ammonium citrate treatment promotes hair follicle growth by activating dermal papilla cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
5‐Aminolevulinic acid combined with ferric ammonium citrate (5‐ALA/FAC) stimulates dermal papilla cell activity and promotes hair follicle growth. The treatment enhances ERK and AKT signaling, increases hair‐inductive gene expression, and restores dermal papilla function suppressed by dihydrotestosterone and oxidative stress, resulting in enhanced hair

An Efficient Dictionary Learning-Based 2-D DOA Estimation Without Pair Matching for Co-Prime Parallel Arrays

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
In this paper, we propose an efficient 2-D direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation method for co-prime parallel arrays. By using the second-order statistics of the received signals with different time lags, a conjugate augmented spatial-temporal virtual ...
