Production and Optimization Techniques of Bioethanol from Withered Flowers of Allamanda schottii L. by Activated Dry Yeast

open access: yesJournal of Pure and Applied Microbiology, 2018
Production of bioethanol from renewable carbohydrates materials has become worldwide interest. Floral wastes are easily, freely and abundantly available bio resource which has distinct advantages such as high fermentable sugars and zero investment.

Implications of the downstream handling of captured CO2

open access: yesFrontiers in Climate, 2023
Carbon dioxide capture, utilization, and sequestration (CCUS) is a collection of approaches needed to supplement other efforts to achieve net zero carbon emissions.

Injection of CO2-saturated brine in geological reservoir: a way to enhanced storage safety [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Injection of free-phase supercritical CO2 into deep geological reservoirs is associated with risk of considerable return flows towards the land surface due to the buoyancy of CO2, which is lighter than the resident brine in the reservoir.

Thermal effects on geologic carbon storage [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The final publication is available at Springer via http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.earscirev.2016.12.011One of the most promising ways to significantly reduce greenhouse gases emissions, while carbon-free energy sources are developed, is Carbon Capture and ...

Impact of CO2 fertilization on maximum foliage cover across the globe's warm, arid environments [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Satellite observations reveal a greening of the globe over recent decades. The role in this greening of the "CO2 fertilization" effect-the enhancement of photosynthesis due to rising CO2 levels-is yet to be established.

Mapping the evolution of mitochondrial complex I through structural variation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Respiratory complex I (CI) is crucial for bioenergetic metabolism in many prokaryotes and eukaryotes. It is composed of a conserved set of core subunits and additional accessory subunits that vary depending on the organism. Here, we categorize CI subunits from available structures to map the evolution of CI across eukaryotes. Respiratory complex I (CI)

MOBILITY REDUCTION OF CO2 USING CO2 SOLUBLE SURFACTANTS [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Addition of slightly CO2-soluble, brine-soluble, surfactants to high pressure CO2 for EOR may facilitate in-situ generation of CO2-in-brine foams for mobility control.

Spitzer Observations of CO2 Ice Towards Field Stars in the Taurus Molecular Cloud

open access: yes, 2005
We present the first Spitzer Infrared Spectrograph observations of the 15.2 micron bending mode of CO2 ice towards field stars behind a quiescent dark cloud.

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.
