Facilitated Diffusion of CO2 across Albumin Solutions [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of General Physiology, 1974
The steady-state CO2 flux across thin layers of 30 g/100 ml albumin solutions was measured in two different CO2 partial pressure ranges (boundary PCO2 values 3 and 8 torr, and 160 and 650 torr, respectively). From the data the apparent diffusion coefficient for CO2, DCO2, was calculated.

Valorizing carbon dioxide via electrochemical reduction on gas‐diffusion electrodes

open access: yesInfoMat, 2021
The electrochemical carbon dioxide (CO2) reduction provides a means to upgrade CO2 into value‐added chemicals. When powered by renewable electricity, CO2 electroreduction holds the promise of chemical manufacturing with carbon neutrality.

Gas and surface diffusion in modified γ-alumina systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 1989
The transport of pure gases through a microporous membrane is described. The alumina-based membrane (pores 2.5-4 nm) is suitable for Knudsen diffusion separation.

Influence of bentonite and zeolite on Cs+ and Co2+ cement matrix leaching phenomena [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Technology and Radiation Protection, 2021
The probability of Cs+ and Co2+ ions retention by immobilization processes in the cement matrix was determinate as the subject of analyses: matrix design, water/cement ratio, and structure porosity.

Diffusion of CO2 in Magnesite under High Pressure and High Temperature from Molecular Dynamics Simulations

open access: yesGeofluids, 2021
CO2 transports in the Earth’s interior play a crucial role in understanding the deep carbon cycle and the global climate changes. Currently, CO2 transports inside of the Earth under extreme condition of pressure and temperature have not been understood ...

Visualization study of dissolution behavior of liquid CO2 with hydrate using pH indicator

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu, 2018
In recent years, CCS (CO2 Capture and Storage), which capture CO2 from CO2 emission source and storage it in ocean, for mitigation of global warming has been expected.

Evolution of microstructure and transport properties of cement pastes due to carbonation under a CO2 pressure gradient: a modeling approach [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Most carbonation models only account for diffusion as the main transport mechanism rather than advection. Nevertheless, in the case of concrete used for underground waste disposal facilities, concrete may be subjected to a high hydrostatic pressure and ...

Stomatal control of leaf fluxes of carbonyl sulfide and CO2 in a Typha freshwater marsh [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Carbonyl sulfide (COS) is an emerging tracer to constrain land photosynthesis at canopy to global scales, because leaf COS and CO2 uptake processes are linked through stomatal diffusion.

Permeation of CO2 and N2 through glassy poly(dimethyl phenylene) oxide under steady- and presteady-state conditions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Glassy polymers are often used for gas separations because of their high selectivity. Although the dual-mode permeation model correctly fits their sorption and permeation isotherms, its physical interpretation is disputed, and it does not describe ...

Preparation and CO2 Adsorption Performance of Porous Aluminum Fumarate MOFs Pellet

open access: yesChemical Engineering Transactions, 2021
Aluminum fumarate metal organic frameworks (AlFu MOFs) pellet was successfully prepared with outstanding porous structure and its CO2 adsorption performance was investigated. As the binder mass increased, the pellet mechanical strength rose while the CO2
