Games With General Coalitional Structure [PDF]

open access: yesSSRN Electronic Journal, 2013
Abstract: This paper introduces a new solution concept for cooperative games with general coalitional structure in which only certain sets of players, including the set of all players, are able to form feasible coalitions. The solution concept takes into account the marginal contribution of players.

Coalition Structure Generation on Graphs

open access: yesCoRR, 2014
Two fundamental algorithm-design paradigms are Tree Search and Dynamic Programming. The techniques used therein have been shown to complement one another when solving the complete set partitioning problem, also known as the coalition structure generation problem [5].

Anytime coalition structure generation: an average case study [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Experimental & Theoretical Artificial Intelligence, 1999
Coalition formation is a key topic in multiagent systems. One would prefer a coalition structure that maxim izes the sum of the values of the coalitions, but often the number of coalition structures is too large to allow for exhaustive search for the optimal one.

The problem of generation in a foster family as a special small social group

open access: yesСоциальная психология и общество, 2019
The peculiarities of changes in the structure of a foster family after the child adoption, related to the restructuring of borders, rules, norms that exist in the family before adoption are discussed.

Decentralized Coalition Formation with Agent-based Combinatorial Heuristics

open access: yesAdvances in Distributed Computing and Artificial Intelligence Journal, 2017
A steadily growing pervasion of the energy distribution grid with communication technology is widely seen as an enabler for new computational coordination techniques for renewable, distributed generation as well as for bundling with controllable ...

Coalitional Games for Joint Co-Tier and Cross-Tier Cooperative Spectrum Sharing in Dense Heterogeneous Networks

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2016
With the dense deployment of small cells in the next generation of mobile networks, the users from different tiers suffer from high downlink interferences. In this paper, we propose a game theoretic approach for joint co-tier and cross-tier collaboration

An Imperfect Algorithm for Coalition Structure Generation

open access: yesProceedings of the AAAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence, 2019
Optimal Coalition Structure Generation (CSG) is a significant research problem that remains difficult to solve. Given n agents, the ODP-IP algorithm (Michalak et al. 2016) achieves the current lowest worst-case time complexity of O(3n). We devise an Imperfect Dynamic Programming (ImDP) algorithm for CSG with runtime O(n2n).

On representing coalitional games with externalities [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We consider the issue of representing coalitional games in multiagent systems with externalities (i.e., in systems where the performance of one coalition may be affected by other co-existing coalitions). In addition to the conventional partition function

A Bibliometric Analysis of Publications in Uremic Toxins From 1991 to 2024

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Uremic toxins are a growing area of research in nephrology, with significant implications in the progression and treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and the management of end‐stage kidney disease (ESKD). This bibliometric analysis aims to evaluate the global research trends, key contributors, and the impact of publications in ...

Minimum search to establish worst-case guarantees in coalition structure generation

open access: yes, 2011
Coalition formation is a fundamental research topic in multi-agent systems. In this context, while it is desirable to generate a coalition structure that maximizes the sum of the values of the coalitions, the space of possible solutions is often too ...
