Transactions of the IMF, 1996SUMMARYVarious-coloured coatings are formed on the surface of zinc cathodically treated in a molybdate-phosphate type aqueous solution. A 2min colouring treatment produced a golden surface coating with good protective performance. The composition and elemental valence state of the golden coating have been studied by XPS and AES.
