Fuzzy Logic Controller for a Mini Coaxial Indoor Helicopter

open access: yesJournal of Intelligent & Robotic Systems, 2011
In this paper the design process of a fuzzy logic based controller for a coaxial micro helicopter is presented. The developed controller for altitude, attitude, and position control is tested through simulations on an identified non-linear model of the helicopter.

A flight dynamics investigation of compound helicopter configurations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Compounding has often been proposed as a method to increase the maximum speed of the helicopter. There are two common types of compounding known as wing and thrust compounding.

Design Challenges to Expand the Functionality of Drones: Deformable Rotorcraft and Nature‐Inspired Flapping Drones

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, Volume 8, Issue 3, March 2026.
This review systematically analyzes deformable drones, including extendable, foldable, and tilting configurations, along with nature‐inspired flapping rotorcraft. By classifying deformation principles and structural mechanisms, design trade‐offs, functional capabilities, and future development potential are highlighted.

CALCULATED RESEARCH OF INFLUENCE OF HELICOPTER MAIN ROTORS GEOMETRY ON THE EFFICIENCY IN HOVER MODE BASED ON THE NONLINEAR VORTEX MODEL

open access: yesНаучный вестник МГТУ ГА, 2018
The efficiency of the helicopter main rotor in the hover mode is very important, because this mode essentially determines the performance characteristics of the helicopter.

Real-time evolution of an embedded controller for an autonomous helicopter [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
In this paper we evolve the parameters of a proportional, integral, and derivative (PID) controller for an unstable, complex and nonlinear system. The individuals of the applied genetic algorithm (GA) are evaluated on the actual system rather than on a ...

Multi‐scale electrical resistivity imaging and long‐term monitoring as a tool for groundwater management

open access: yesNear Surface Geophysics, Volume 23, Issue 4, Page 310-323, August 2025.
Abstract Extensive pumping, storm floods or sea‐level rise can lead to regional and local‐scale processes of saltwater intrusion into coastal aquifers. Particularly when exacerbated by the impacts of climate change, these processes can threaten freshwater resources and thus drinking water supplies and need to be prevented by investigation and ...
