Analysis of coaxial mounting and probe structures
Proceedings International University Conference 'Electronics and Radiophysics of Ultra-High Frequencies' (Cat. No.99EX356), 2003An efficient full-wave spectral domain analysis based on the integral equation method is developed for coaxial mounting and probe structure of a general form. Using this method, the algorithm for the complex input gap impedance of such structures has been derived and the calculated data are presented.

IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society Symposium, 2004., 2004
The paper presents the analysis of the discontinuity between a coaxial and a generalized stripline waveguide and its application to the characterization of a probe inside a rectangular waveguide. The probe is modeled by a stripline whose inner conductor is stepped.

Neurocomputed model of open-circuited coaxial probes
IEEE Microwave and Guided Wave Letters, 1995An artificial multi-layered feedforward neural network has been developed which transforms reflection coefficient data measured using a coaxial probe and network analyser, into the permittivity values of the fluid the probe touches. This eliminates the need for de-embedding of data from the measurement plane via empirical models of the physical cable ...

Coaxial probe dielectric measurements in the presence of airgaps
Proceedings of 6th Electronics Packaging Technology Conference (EPTC 2004) (IEEE Cat. No.04EX971), 2005Interpolation formulas for retrieval of the dielectric constant of the substrate from the measured probe impedance within a specified frequency range are introduced. The proposed formulas were tested for retrieval of dielectric constant from impedance measurements for the substrates with known properties.

Wideband in-situ soil permittivity coaxial probe
2011 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation (APSURSI), 2011A novel probe design form measuring complex permittivity of soils in-situ from 10 to 1000 MHz and above without taking soil samples is presented. The dielectric constant and conudctivity of soil is derived from step-frequency reflection taken inside a small (1∼2 inches) freshly bored holes.

Coaxial helium leak detection probe
Journal of Vacuum Science & Technology A: Vacuum, Surfaces, and Films, 1987A coaxial device has been developed which makes it possible to pinpoint a leak in a piece of vacuum hardware or tubing within a space of one-sixteenth of an inch. The device consists of a delivery tube which directs the helium to a precise spot and a coaxial outer tube which pumps away the excess helium.

Coaxial pulse voltage probe with adjustable sensitivity
High Power Laser and Particle Beams, 2014A coaxial pulse voltage probe is designed to measure the signal through the input of TEM cell or GTEM cell in calibrating electromagnetic pulse(EMP) sensors. The output differential signal of the probe can be converted by numerical integration to obtain the measured EMP field, and the measurement sensitivity can be adjusted.

Analysis of a coaxial probe‐fed circular waveguide
Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2013ABSTRACTThis article presents the investigation on the applicability of variational technique for the estimation of input impedance of a coaxial line fed probe in a circular cylindrical waveguide based on thin current approximation. In this work, the lower limit of diameter of the probe for which thin current approximation is valid has been established.

A Novel Coaxial Probe Waveguide to Microstrip Transition
2005 Asia-Pacific Microwave Conference Proceedings, 2006In this paper, a modified coaxial probe waveguide-to-microstrip transition structure at K-band is proposed. The transition uses two kinds of coaxial probes and has hermetic characteristics. It can also be used in other band, such as Ka-band. The structure is demonstrated for designing the transition.

Novel Coupling Structure for the Resonant Coaxial Probe
IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 2012Herein we present a technique for performing complex permittivity measurements with an overmoded, evanescently perturbed coaxial resonator at microwave frequencies. The design of a noninvasive electromagnetic coupling structure, which allows transmission measurements to be taken from one end of a resonant section of coaxial cable, is discussed in ...
