Health Literacy‐Focused Communication Training for Primary Healthcare Providers Working With Older Adults: A Co‐Designed Prototype

open access: yesHealth Expectations, Volume 29, Issue 1, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction Low health literacy among older adults living in the community contributes to poor health outcomes. While communication training exists for specific conditions (e.g., hypertension), there is limited evidence on programs that enhance health literacy competencies among primary healthcare providers working with older adults.

A single‐MYB transcription factor GmMYB331 regulates seed oil accumulation and seed size/weight in soybean

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Plant Biology, Volume 68, Issue 2, Page 470-485, February 2026.
The soybean transcription factor GmMYB331 regulates oil content and seed size. Moderate expression of GmMYB331 significantly enhanced seed oil accumulation, and strong expression promoted increased seed size. This research provides a genetic resource and theoretical foundation for high‐yield and quality breeding in soybean.

The Redox Properties of Polyphenols and Their Role in ROS Generation for Biomedical Applications

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 3, 16 January 2026.
The dual redox nature of polyphenols enables antioxidant activity and controlled reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation. This review details the biomedical applications of polyphenols in materials such as nanoparticles, coatings, and hydrogels for antimicrobial, tissue regeneration, and cancer therapies.

Location, Location, Location: Monazite Behaviour During UHT Metamorphism and Melt Crystallization

open access: yesJournal of Metamorphic Geology, Volume 44, Issue 2, Page 158-175, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Monazite is a robust mineral for recording the suprasolidus evolution of migmatites and granulites. However, monazite commonly has diverse compositions and yields variable dates in a single sample; understanding the controls on monazite behaviour and composition during partial melting and melt crystallization are not always straightforward ...

Cosmeceutical and Dermatological Potential of Shiitake Mushroom (Lentinula edodes) Extract

open access: yesJournal of Cosmetic Dermatology, Volume 25, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Shiitake mushroom (Lentinula edodes) contains polysaccharides, phenolics, and β‐glucans known for their antioxidant and nutraceutical properties; however, its dermatological applications remain limited. Objective This study aimed to evaluate the antioxidant potential, enzyme inhibition activities, and cytotoxicity of freeze‐dried ...
