Coagulotoxic Cobras: Clinical Implications of Strong Anticoagulant Actions of African Spitting Naja Venoms That Are Not Neutralised by Antivenom but Are by LY315920 (Varespladib)

open access: yesToxins, 2018
Snakebite is a global tropical disease that has long had huge implications for human health and well-being. Despite its long-standing medical importance, it has been the most neglected of tropical diseases.

Related-Key Differential Attacks on Cobra-S128, Cobra-F64a, and Cobra-F64b [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Data-dependent permutations (DDPs) which are very suitable for cheap hardware implementations have been introduced as a cryptographic primitive. Cobra-S128 and Cobra-F64 (which is a generic name for Cobra-F64a and Cobra-F64b) are 128-bit and 64-bit iterated block ciphers with a 128-bit key size based on such DDPs, respectively.

Monolithic Multiband Nanosecond Programmable Wavelength Router

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2010
A compact scalable reconfigurable multiwavelength router is proposed and demonstrated using an electronically gated cyclic router. Simultaneous wavelength-multiplexed channel allocation is performed with power penalties of 0.2-0.8 dB.

Predictors of support for biodiversity loss countermeasure and bushmeat consumption among Vietnamese urban residents

open access: yesConservation Science and Practice, Volume 4, Issue 12, December 2022., 2022
People perceiving environmental degradation, and losses of economic growth, nature‐based recreation opportunities, health, and knowledge as consequences of biodiversity loss were more likely to support the prohibition of illegal wildlife consumption. People consuming bushmeat frequently and supporting the biodiversity loss preventive measure seemed to ...

In Situ Light‐driven pH Modulation for NMR Studies

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
In this work, we introduce a novel approach to control pH in NMR samples using light‐activated photoacids. By combining light stimuli with pH‐sensitive molecules, we demonstrate the ability to precisely modulate pH without physically manipulating the sample.

Controlling Travel Path of Original Cobra [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
In this paper we propose a kernel based COBRA which is a direct approximation of the original COBRA. We propose a novel tuning procedure for original COBRA parameters based on this kernel approximation. We show that our proposed algorithm provides much better accuracy than other COBRAs and faster than usual Gridsearch COBRA.
