The effect of the initial layer on the reversal mechanism in CoCr films [PDF]
The dependence of OR, H/sub c/, and hysteresis loss is measured as functions of the angle with the applied field (H/sub a/) as a parameter. It is reported that with increasing H/sub c/ perpendicular to /H/sub k/ values the orientation direction of the ...

Abstract In this review article I consider Kenneth Einar Himma’s argument that law is necessarily coercive. While casting doubt on Himma’s framing of the issues as well as on his specific claims in support of that conclusion, I suggest some alternate avenues for arguing that law is a coercive institution.

Morphology of NdFeB-Type Permanent Magnet Coercivity Enhancement by Heat Treatment Process
To understand the morphology of the coercivity enhancement by heat treatment, a commercial sintered NdFeB-type permanent magnet is annealed, and the coercivity is measured by Permagraph.

Additive Manufacturing of Bulk Nanocrystalline FeNdB Based Permanent Magnets
Lab scale additive manufacturing of Fe-Nd-B based powders was performed to realize bulk nanocrystalline Fe-Nd-B based permanent magnets. For fabrication a special inert gas process chamber for laser powder bed fusion was used.

On the remarkable coercivity in MnBi by microstructural engineering [PDF]
MnBi materials with different microstructures were prepared by severe plastic deformation using different processing conditions. The coercivity can be controlled by tuning the grain size, defect density, and the phase distribution of the MnBi in the ...

Coercivity of Integrals versus Coercivity of Integrands
Considering the integral functional of the calculus of variations \[ I(u)=\int_{\Omega} f(x,u(x),\nabla u(x)) dx \] where \(\Omega\subset \mathbb{R}^n, u:\Omega \to \mathbb{R},\) the authors discuss the possibility that a coercivity assumption on \(I\) implies an analogous property on the integrand.

Explicit coercivity estimates for the linearized Boltzmann and Landau operators [PDF]
We prove explicit coercivity estimates for the linearized Boltzmann and Landau operators, for a general class of interactions including any inverse-power law interactions, and hard spheres.

Simulation of alnico coercivity [PDF]
Micromagnetic simulations of alnico show substantial deviations from Stoner-Wohlfarth behavior due to the unique size and spatial distribution of the rod-like Fe-Co phase formed during spinodal decomposition in an external magnetic field.
