Evaluating the effects of self-practice/self-reflection on cognitive flexibility, empathy, insight, self-compassion, self-monitoring, and stress in postgraduate cognitive behaviour therapy trainees : a thesis presented in fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Arts in Psychology at Massey University, Albany, New Zealand [PDF]
There is considerable evidence to suggest that cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) training programs can effectively enhance therapists’ CBT knowledge and skills.

Linearizing and Forecasting: A Reservoir Computing Route to Digital Twins of the Brain
A new approach uses simple neural networks to create digital twins of brain activity, capturing how different patterns unfold over time. The method generates and recovers key dynamics even from noisy data. When applied to fMRI, it predicts brain signals and reveals distinctive activity patterns across regions and individuals, opening possibilities for ...

Decoding Naturalistic Episodic Memory with Artificial Intelligence and Brain‐Machine Interface
Episodic memory weaves together what, where, and when of experience into a personal narrative. Cutting‐edge AI models may decode this intricate process in real‐life settings, revealing how neural activity encodes naturalistic memories. By merging AI with brain–machine interfaces, researchers are edging closer to mapping and even engineering memory ...

Mild Focal Cooling Decouples Dendrites to Reconfigure Cortical Output
Mild cooling of the cortical surface selectively modulates apical dendritic excitability, plasticity, and somato‐dendritic coupling, while uncoupling these effects from basal dendrites, and reshapes apical‐driven responses in barrel cortex during whisker touch.

An activity‐dependent pathway links prefrontal circuit hypoactivity to cognitive impairment. Reduced PVA–mPFC activity upregulates NEPAS, which suppresses PTX3 secretion, leading to impaired angiogenesis, myelin deficits, and memory decline. Rescue is achieved by NEPAS knockdown or chemogenetic circuit activation.
