Error-bound formulation for multichannel reception of M-DPSK and pilot-aided M-PSK over Rayleigh-fading channels with postdetection combining [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Upper bounds for symbol-error probability are developed for multichannel reception of M-ary phase-shift keying (M-PSK) over frequency-flat Rayleigh-fading channels.

Coherent Signal Direction Finding With Sensor Array Based on Back Propagation Neural Network

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
An algorithm based on back propagation neural network and particle swarm optimization is proposed to solve the direction of arrival (DOA) estimation of coherent signals received by the sensor array in colored noise environment.

An Improved Multiple-Toeplitz Matrices Reconstruction Algorithm for DOA Estimation of Coherent Signals [PDF]

open access: yesRadioengineering, 2021
The Toeplitz matrix reconstruction algorithms exploit the row vector of an array output covariance matrix to reconstruct Toeplitz matrix, which provide the direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation of coherent signals.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Cost efficient narrow linewidth laser transmitter for coherent detection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Authors present a cost efficient narrow linewidth laser transmitter for future coherent detection systems. The spectral purity of the laser allows the phase modulation of data signals at bit rates as low as 155 Mb ...

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Coherent Anti-Stokes Hyper-Raman Spectroscopy

open access: yesNature Communications
Coherent Raman scattering spectroscopies have been established as a powerful tool for investigating molecular systems with high chemical specificity. The existing coherent Raman scattering techniques detect only Raman active modes, which are a part of ...

Optical Phase Conjugation Using Nonlinear SOA for Nonlinearity and Dispersion Compensation of Coherent Multi-Carrier Lightwave Systems

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
We study the use of nonlinear semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) for generating optical phase conjugate towards compensation of distortions in short distance optical fiber transmission due to Kerr nonlinearity and chromatic dispersion in coherent ...

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Families of Quantum Fingerprinting Protocols

open access: yes, 2017
We introduce several families of quantum fingerprinting protocols to evaluate the equality function on two $n$-bit strings in the simultaneous message passing model. The original quantum fingerprinting protocol uses a tensor product of a small number of $
