Model of radiation-stimulated growth of coherent structures in a crystalline medium with fast relaxation and slow diffusion

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений. Поволжский регион: Физико-математические науки, 2022
Background. In this research constructed a model for the radiation-stimulated growth of coherent structures based on the nonlinear diffusion of point defects in a crystalline medium. Materials and methods.

Formation of Kinetics Coherent Structures in Weakly Collisional Media

open access: yesPlasma, 2021
The formation of nonlinear, nonstationary structures in weakly collisional media with collective interactions are investigated analytically within the framework of the kinetic description.

Introduction to Focus Issue: Lagrangian Coherent Structures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The topic of Lagrangian coherent structures (LCS) has been a rapidly growing area of research in nonlinear dynamics for almost a decade. It provides a means to rigorously define and detect transport barriers in dynamical systems with arbitrary time ...

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 increases metastatic potential and aggressiveness in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...

Formation of Fine Structures in Incompressible Hall Magnetohydrodynamic Turbulence Simulations

open access: yesPlasma
Hall magnetohydrodynamic simulations are often carried out to study the subjects of instabilities and turbulence of space and nuclear fusion plasmas in which sub-ion-scale effects are important.

On the late phase of relaxation of two-dimensional fluids: turbulence of unitons

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2017
The two-dimensional ideal fluid and the plasma confined by a strong magnetic field exhibit an intrinsic tendency to organization due to the inverse spectral cascade. In the asymptotic states reached at relaxation the turbulence has vanished and there are

Experimental Study on Coherent Structures by Particles Suspended in Half-Zone Thermocapillary Liquid Bridges: Review

open access: yesFluids, 2021
Coherent structures by the particles suspended in the half-zone thermocapillary liquid bridges via experimental approaches are introduced. General knowledge on the particle accumulation structures (PAS) is described, and then the spatial–temporal ...

Deformation of coherent structures [PDF]

open access: yesReports on Progress in Physics, 1996
In this review we investigate the mathematical description of the distortion of clearly recognisable structures in phenomenological physics. The coherent structures we will explicitly deal with are surface waves on a layer of fluid, kink transitions in magnetic material, plane vortices, swirling flows in cylindrical pipes and periodic patterns in ...

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.
