Multimodal Data‐Driven Microstructure Characterization
A self‐consistent autonomous workflow for EBSP‐based microstructure segmentation by integrating PCA, GMM clustering, and cNMF with information‐theoretic parameter selection, requiring no user input. An optimal ROI size related to characteristic grain size is identified.

Effect of Mesh Sensitivity and Cohesive Properties on Simulation of Typha Fiber/Epoxy Microbond Test
The microbond test for natural fibers is difficult to conduct experimentally due to several challenges including controlling the gap distance of the blade, the meniscus shape, and the large data spread.

A two‐dimensional multiscale finite element analysis framework was established for the first‐generation MoSiBTiC alloy, and the mechanical and fracture‐related parameters of the constituent phases were calibrated through experiments and simulations. The framework provides a basis for analyzing crack propagation behavior in its complex microstructure ...

Finite Element Analysis for Brittle and Ductile Fracture Using a Unified Cohesive Zone Model
A unified cohesive zone model is proposed. By introducing a parameter which denotes the ductility of the material, the proposed model can be used to simulate both brittle and ductile fracture.

Cohesive-Zone Effects in Hydraulic Fracture Propagation
Abstract Hydraulic fracture presents an interesting case of crack elasticity and fracture propagation non-linearly coupled to fluid flow. Hydraulic fracture (HF) is often modeled using the Linear Elastic Fracture Mechanics (LEFM), which assumes that the damaged zone associated with the rock breakage near the advancing fracture front is small compared

Hydrogen‐Assisted Fracture of Iron‐Based Fe–Ni–Al Alloys
Principal relations and fracture mechanisms of single‐phase and precipitate‐strengthened Fe–Ni–Al alloys subjected to prior electrochemical hydrogen charging are identified. The mechanisms of hydrogen effect on strength and microhardness are discussed, including hydrogen‐induced increase in microhardness and the role of hydrogen in fracture behavior ...

Creep‐Induced Microstructural Evolution in an A2‐B2 Superalloy
A 27.3Ta‐27.3Mo‐27.3Ti‐8Cr‐10Al (at.%) refractory high‐entropy alloy with precipitation‐strengthened A2‐B2 microstructure was studied by creep tests at 1030°C, which demonstrate a transition in deformation mechanisms in the range of 100–150 MPa applied stress. This is associated with changes in dislocation–precipitate interactions. Relevant deformation

A new cohesive-based modelling of moisture-dependent mode II delamination of carbon/epoxy composites
The cohesive zone model (CZM) is widely employed for simulating delamination and debonding behaviour in engineering structures. However, the choice of CZM shape impacts the accuracy of simulation results.
