On the Extension Behavior of Helicogenic Polypeptides [PDF]
The force laws governing the extension behavior of homopolypeptides are obtained from a phenomenological free energy capable of describing the helix-coil transition. Just above the melting temperature of the free chains, T*, the plot of force, f, vs. end-

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

Independent gain and bandwidth control of a traveling wave maser [PDF]
An X-band traveling wave maser of the folded-comb type is presented, with two figure-eight coils for gain and bandwidth control. One figure-eight coil covers the full lengths of the comb structure for bandwidth adjustment of an external magnetic field ...

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Modern treatment of patent ductus arteriosus – single center experience
Introduction: Transcatheter closure is a treatment choice for the most children with patent ductus arteriosus (PDA). The closure of the ductus is indicated in any child or adolescent with developed symptoms of significant L-R shunt.

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...
