Fibrosis Reduces the Coincidence of Repetitive Activation Patterns between the Coronary Sinus and Atrial Regions in Simulated Atrial Fibrillation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
Repetitive Atrial Activation Patterns (RAAPs) detected in the coronary sinus (CS) during atrial fibrillation (AF) may represent a reference to construct composite maps of coincident local RAAPs elsewhere in the atria, potentially improving the ...

A Coincidence Degree for Bifurcation Problems with Applications to Steady State Flow [PDF]

open access: yesPAMM, 2003
AbstractIn this paper we study the steady state flow of incompressible fluids treated as an eigenvalue problem. We can define a coincidence degree under some conditions weaker than the ones when the classical coincidence degree was defined, and use the properties of this degree to our problem.

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Positive solutions for super-sublinear indefinite problems: high multiplicity results via coincidence degree [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
We study the periodic boundary value problem associated with the second order nonlinear equation u'' + ( λa^+(t) - μa^-(t) ) g(u) = 0, where g(u) has superlinear growth at zero and sublinear growth at infinity.

Degree Neuter Relative constructions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
This paper presents a syntax and semantics for Degree Neuter Relatives (DNRs) in Spanish, an unusual construction involving a relative clause seemingly headed by a gradable predicate and the neuter determiner lo. I propose an analysis of DNRs that avoids

Dynamics of two-species delayed competitive stage-structured model described by differential-difference equations

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2019
Overf the last few years, by utilizing Mawhin’s continuation theorem of coincidence degree theory and Lyapunov functional, many scholars have been concerned with the global asymptotical stability of positive periodic solutions for the non-linear ...

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

2 n positive periodic solutions to n species non‐autonomous Lotka‐volterra unidirectional food chains with harvesting terms

open access: yesMathematical Modelling and Analysis, 2010
By using the Mawhin continuation theorem of coincidence degree theory and some results on inequalities, we establish the existence of 2 n positive periodic solutions for n species non‐autonomous Lotka‐Volterra unidirectional food chains with harvesting ...

Existence and uniqueness of anti-periodic solutions for a class of nonlinear n-th order functional differential equations [PDF]

open access: yesOpuscula Mathematica, 2011
In this paper, we use the method of coincide degree theory to establish new results on the existence and uniqueness of anti-periodic solutions for a class of nonlinear \(n\)-th order functional differential equations of the form \[x^{(n)}(t)=F(t, x_t, x^{
