Study on Process Optimization of Cold Gas Spraying
Cold gas dynamic spraying is a relatively new spray coating technique capable of depositing a variety of materials without extensive heating. As a result the inherent degradation of the powder particles found during traditional thermal spraying can be avoided. The simplicity of this technique is its most salient feature.

Gas-Substrate Heat Exchange During Cold-Gas Dynamic Spraying
Abstract In this study, the temperature distribution of the surfaces of several substrates under an impinging gas jet from a cold spray nozzle was determined. A low-pressure cold-gas dynamic spraying unit was used to generate a jet of hot compressed nitrogen that impinged upon flat substrates. Computer codes based on a finite differences

Gas Dynamic Principles of Cold Spray
Journal of Thermal Spray Technology, 1998This paper presents an analytical model of the cold-spray process. By assuming a one-dimensional isentropic flow and constant gas properties, analytical equations are solved to predict the spray particle velocities. The solutions demonstrate the interaction between the numerous geometric and material properties.
