mGluR5 in ECCCK to BLA Circuit Modulates Depressive‐Like Phenotypes through CCK Signaling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of mGluR5 and CCK signaling contributes to major depressive disorder, yet circuit‐level mechanisms remain unclear. Here, the ECCCK→BLA pathway is identified as a critical regulator of affective behavior. mGluR5 modulates synaptic function and CCK signaling within this circuit, controlling stress susceptibility and depressive‐like states ...

Protection of Feet in Cold Exposure

open access: yesIndustrial Health, 2009
The paper summarizes the research on cold protection of feet. There exist several conflicting requirements for the choice of the best suited footwear for cold exposure. These conflicts are related to various environmental factors, protection needs and user comfort issues.

Myocardial Protection with Cold Cardioplegia in a Patient with Cold Autoagglutinins and Hemolysins

The Annals of Thoracic Surgery, 1982
A technique is described for providing myocardial protection with cold potassium crystalloid cardioplegia in a patient with cold autoagglutinins and hemolysins. The patient was only mildly cooled systemically. The coronary system was perfused with a normothermic cardioplegic solution to remove the blood before the cold cardioplegia was started.
