Orientational relaxation in a dispersive dynamic medium : Generalization of the Kubo-Ivanov-Anderson jump diffusion model to include fractional environmental dynamics [PDF]
Ivanov-Anderson (IA) model (and an earlier treatment by Kubo) envisages a decay of the orientational correlation by random but large amplitude molecular jumps, as opposed to infinitesimal small jumps assumed in Brownian diffusion.

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Dielectric properties of single wall carbon nanotubes-based gelatin phantoms [PDF]
In this work, we report the dielectric properties of Single wall Carbon Nanotubes (SWCNTs)-based phantom that is mainly composed of gelatin and water. The fabricated gelatin-based phantom with desired dielectric properties was fabricated and doped with ...

Harmonics of the AC susceptibility as probes to differentiate the various creep models
We measured the temperature dependence of the 1st and the 3rd harmonics of the AC magnetic susceptibility on some type II superconducting samples at different AC field amplitudes, hAC.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Modeling the Complex Susceptibility of Magnetic Nanocomposites for Deep-Seated Tumor Hyperthermia
Goal: Magnetic scaffolds (MagS), obtained by loading polymers with magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) or by chemical doping of bio-ceramics, can be implanted and used as thermo-seeds for interstitial cancer therapy if exposed to radiofrequency (RF) magnetic ...

Parameter Identification for a New Circuit Model Aimed to Predict Body Water Volume
Intracellular and extracellular water volumes in the human body have been computed using a sequence of models starting with a linear first order RC circuit (Cole model) and finishing with the De Lorenzo model. This last model employs a fractional order

Paraxial light in a Cole-Cole nonlocal medium: integrable regimes and singularities
Nonlocal nonlinear Schroedinger-type equation is derived as a model to describe paraxial light propagation in nonlinear media with different `degrees' of nonlocality.

Symmetries of a class of nonlinear fourth order partial differential equations [PDF]
In this paper we study symmetry reductions of a class of nonlinear fourth order partial differential equations \be u_{tt} = \left(\kappa u + \gamma u^2\right)_{xx} + u u_{xxxx} +\mu u_{xxtt}+\alpha u_x u_{xxx} + \beta u_{xx}^2, \ee where $\alpha$, $\beta$
