Advances in collagen cross-link analysis [PDF]
The combined application of ion-trap mass spectrometry and peptide-specific antibodies for the isolation and structural analysis of collagen cross-linking domains is illustrated with examples of results from various types of collagen with the emphasis on bone and cartilage.

Screening and epitope characterization of Nidogen‐2‐specific nanobodies
Camel immunization and phage display were employed to generate high‐affinity VHH nanobodies against Nidogen‐2. After library construction, biopanning, ELISA screening, sequencing, and recombinant expression, selected nanobodies were purified and characterized, leading to the preliminary exploration of a nanobody‐based sandwich ELISA for specific ...

Corneal melting after collagen cross-linking for keratoconus: a case report
Introduction Corneal collagen cross-linking is a rather new technique that uses riboflavin and ultraviolet A light for collagen fiber stabilization in keratoconus corneas.

This paper reveals how human lactoferrin–albumin fusion (hLF‐HSA) potently suppresses lung adenocarcinoma cell migration. hLF‐HSA upregulates NHE7, leading to Golgi alkalization, disruption of the Golgi secretome, downregulation of MMP1, and reversal of EMT. These findings suggest a novel Golgi‐targeting strategy to suppress cancer cell migration.

Targeted protein delivery: carbodiimide crosslinking influences protein release from microparticles incorporated within collagen scaffolds [PDF]
open access articleTissue engineering response may be tailored via controlled, sustained release of active agents from protein-loaded degradable microparticles incorporated directly within three-dimensional (3D) ice-templated collagen scaffolds. However,

Corneal Collagen Cross-Linking Outcomes: Review [PDF]
Keratoconus is a condition characterized by biomechanical instability of the cornea, presenting in a progressive, asymmetric and bilateral way. Corneal collagen cross-linking with riboflavin and UVA (CXL) is a new technique of corneal tissue strengthening that combines the use of riboflavin as a photo sensitizer and UVA irradiation.

Early‐life exposure to a high‐fat diet altered intact Achilles tendons in rat offspring, making them thinner, stiffer, and molecularly distinct even without injury. These findings suggest that developmental high‐fat diet exposure may impair tendon quality and increase susceptibility to mechanical overload or tendon injury later in life.
