Macrophage Membrane‐Camouflaged Nanozyme Microneedles Restore Immunovascular Homeostasis Through SPP1‐ApoE Signaling in Diabetic Wounds

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Macrophage membrane‐coated Cu/Zn‐MOF nanozyme microneedles (MNs) reprogram the diabetic wound microenvironment through localized, minimally invasive delivery. By suppressing M1‐like macrophage activation while promoting extracellular matrix deposition and angiogenesis, this biomimetic platform accelerates diabetic wound repair.

Patient‐Derived 3D Heart‐On‐a‐Chip Model of Dilated Cardiomyopathy With Embedded Bead‐Based Mapping of Tissue Contractility

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A heart‐on‐a‐chip model of dilated cardiomyopathy is developed from patient‐derived induced pluripotent stem cells. The model recapitulates key disease phenotypes and enables functional assessment through integrated bead‐based tracking and pillar deflection measurements.

Real-time visualization of collagen assembly uncovers metastable properties in hierarchical organization

open access: yesNature Communications
Collagen, a central component of the extracellular matrix (ECM), precisely regulates tissue mechanical properties and biological functions through hierarchical assembly, playing a vital role in maintaining homeostasis. However, the molecular mechanism of

Engineered Microvascular Model of the Blood–Brain–Tumor Barrier Reveals Endothelial Remodeling in Diffuse Midline Glioma

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
We developed a patient‐derived, functional microfluidic model of the diffuse midline glioma (DMG) blood–brain–tumor barrier (BBTB) comprised of endothelial cells, astrocytes, pericytes, and tumor cells. The system forms perfusable microvasculature, reveals the BBTB retains vascular integrity, identifies DMG‐specific transcriptomic changes distinct from

Encoded Cell‐Material Interactions to Reroute Cytokine Signaling for Regenerative Medicine

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
We present native MATRIX (Material Activated To Regulate Inducible gene eXpression), a co‐engineered material‐cell platform. Surfaces functionalized with antibodies for endogenous soluble ligands (e.g., IL‐1β or IL‐6) capture and immobilize ligands for presentation to a cognate, engineered synthetic Notch receptor, releasing a transcription factor (TF)

Experience in the use of wound-healing collagen dressings in the complex treatment of venous trophic ulcers

open access: yesЛечащий Врач
Background. Venous trophic ulcers are a typical manifestation of decompensation of chronic venous insufficiency of the lower extremities. The causes of venous trophic ulcers are chronic vein diseases such as varicose veins of the lower limbs, pelvis ...

A Fully Defined GelMA‐Based Matrix Allows Fine Tuning of Tissue‐Relevant Biomechanical and Biochemical Cues for Organoid Culture

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A fully defined GelMA‐based ECM platform integrates tunable tissue‐relevant stiffness with laminin–entactin biochemical supplementation to support mouse small intestinal organoid growth. Coordinated control of mechanical and biochemical cues promotes robust proliferation, budding morphogenesis, differentiation, and passaging, providing a reproducible ...

Collagen Injections for Rotator Cuff Diseases: A Systematic Review

open access: yesClinics and Practice
Background: Because of its anatomy and function, the rotator cuff (RC) is vulnerable to considerable morbidity. The prevalence of RC diseases (RCDs) among the general population is 5–39%, reaching over 30% in patients older than 60.

Mechanically Compliant, Precision‐Porous Brain Implants Reduce the Foreign Body Reaction and Guide Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study explores how the brain responds to implants of different properties. Hydrogels with various mechanical properties and pore sizes were implanted in adult rat brains. It is observed that hydrogels with mechanical property closely matched to the brain and 40 µm pore size elicit a pro‐healing response from the brain by modulating the immune ...

HSP47 in human diseases: Navigating pathophysiology, diagnosis and therapy

open access: yesClinical and Translational Medicine
Heat shock protein 47 (HSP47) is a chaperone protein responsible for regulating collagen maturation and transport, directly impacting collagen synthesis levels. Aberrant HSP47 expression or malfunction has been associated with collagen‐related disorders,
