Paclitaxel induces NM2‐dependent cellular contraction through GEF‐H1 dissociation from microtubules and RhoA/ROCK activation in cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Taxanes are widely used chemotherapeutics whose effects on cellular mechanics remain poorly understood. We show that paclitaxel induces rapid cellular contraction by promoting GEF‐H1 dissociation from microtubules and non‐muscle myosin II activation through RhoA/ROCK.

Functional Imaging of Proteolysis: Stromal and Inflammatory Cells Increase Tumor Proteolysis

open access: yesMolecular Imaging, 2003
The underlying basement membrane is degraded during progression of breast and colon carcinoma. Thus, we imaged degradation of a quenched fluorescent derivative of basement membrane type IV collagen (DQ-collagen IV) by living human breast and colon tumor ...

Correlation of CD44v6 and type IV collagen immunohistochemical expression in borderline and malignant surface epithelial tumors

open access: yesمجله كليه طب الكندي, 2016
Background: the difference in expression of type IV collagen in borderline tumors and ovarian carcinomas has been studied, but the association with adhesion molecules like CD44 have not gain enough interest.

Type IV collagen-derived angiogenesis inhibitors [PDF]

open access: yesMicrovascular Research, 2007
The concept of anti-angiogenesis therapy was introduced by Judah Folkman in 1971 and since then, a plethora of pro- and anti-angiogenic factors have been identified. In the recent years, it has become clear that angiogenesis, the formation of new capillaries from a pre-existing capillary network, is highly regulated by the action of pro- and anti ...

Extracellular matrix remodeling and immune reprogramming drive residual tumor progression of liver cancer after incomplete microwave ablation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Incomplete microwave ablation (iMWA) of liver cancer triggers a biphasic progression in residual tumors. At Day 3, the microenvironment is characterized by acute inflammatory responses and extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling. By Day 14, a profound shift occurs toward oncogenic signal transduction and immunosuppression, marked by macrophage ...

UiO‐66 metal–organic frameworks in biomedicine: From structural tunability to bioimaging, photodiagnostics, and photodynamic cancer therapy

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
UiO‐66(Zr) metal–organic frameworks are chemically stable, biocompatible, and highly tunable nanomaterials. Their modular structure enables controlled drug delivery, multimodal bioimaging, and light‐activated photodynamic therapy, supporting integrated diagnostic and therapeutic (theranostic) applications in cancer and biomedical research.

Secretion of Type IV Collagen by Keratinocytes of Human Adult [PDF]

open access: yes, 1985
Secretion of type IV collagen by keratinocytes was studied by anti-type IV collagen immunoglobulin in pure keratinocyte culture of the human adult. The cultivated keratinocytes secreted type IV collagen into the space between skin collagen type I.

Novel Biomarker Monoclonal Antibody Fragmentation Collagen Type IV To Detect Acute Myocardial Infarction Related Perviromonas Gingivalis Infection

open access: yesMajalah Kardiologi Indonesia, 2013
Background. Index mortality of atherosclerotic very high. The research conducted by WHO in 1995 show 20% of IMA mortality caused by ath-erosclerotic. The new emerging risk factor infection is the Perviromonas gingivalis.
