Postintubation Hypotension and its Association with Prolonged ICU Length of Stay and ICU Mortality
Introduction Cardiovascular collapse (CVC) is a serious complication of endotracheal intubation (ETI). Many studies have evaluated incidence and risk factors for postintubation hypotension.

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

We tested the explanatory usefulness and policy relevance of Holling's (2001) "adaptive cycle" theory in exploring processes of "collapse," also called "release," and recovery in regional social-ecological systems (SESs) in Zimbabwe and Australia.

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

Intensification of the Near Wall Collapsing Bubble Induced Jet Using an Opposite Secondary Wall
Effects of an opposite secondary wall for intensification of the liquid jet that is formed through the near wall bubble collapse were numerically investigated. The axisymmetric form of the Navier-Stokes equations was solved to predict the flow conditions

Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

Development of a Novel Extra-Articular Device for Reducing the Weight-Bearing of the Hip Joint
The morbidity associated with idiopathic osteonecrosis of the femoral head (ION) is increasing. The primary goal of treatment for ION is to prevent collapse of the femoral head. With the exception of hip arthroplasties, current joint-preserving surgeries

Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.
