Formation of Artificial Collapsible Loess
This paper will present work over recent years, which has aimed to develop a reproducible collapsible loess sample in the laboratory. The idea was to create specimens that not only reproduce the degree of loess collapse found in the field, but did so ...

The Collapsible Diseases of Masonry Structure in the Loess Regions [PDF]
The main reason of the collapsible diseases of masonry structure in the loess regions is the foundation soil soaked by water. Based on the survey of the collapsible disease of masonry structure in the loess regions, by analyzing the reasons for the ...

Collapsible Loess on the Loess Plateau of China
1995The aeolian silt accumulation making up the Loess Plateau of North China reaches more than 250m in thickness in the Lanzhou region. Regional studies have shown that there is a clear gradient in collapsibility from the dry north-west to the moist south-east of the Plateau.

Improvement of Collapsible Loess in Eastern Europe
Loess consists essentially of silt-sized (typically 20-30 microns) primary quartz particles that form as a result of high-energy earth-surface processes such as glacial grinding or cold climate weathering.

Collapsibility and seismic settlement of loess
Engineering Geology, 2009Loess collapsibility and seismic settlement have proven to be costly geotechnical hazards in China. Since collapsibility assessment and mitigation are now conventional practices in Chinese design codes, some previous efforts have been made to relate collapsibility and seismic settlement in order to simplify assessment of the latter.

The Study of Jinnan Loess Collapsible and Depth
Advanced Materials Research, 2014At present, there are not enough research for the initial collapse pressure and collapsible coefficient of the loess in the country; There are tests for the Jinnan collapsible loess, to study the collapsible coefficient and the initial collapse pressure changes with the depth.
