Anisotropic de Gennes narrowing in confined fluids [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
The collective diffusion of dense fluids in spatial confinement was studied by combining high-energy (21 keV) x-ray photon correlation spectroscopy and small-angle x-ray scattering from colloid-filled microfluidic channels.

Characterizing the salivary RNA landscape to identify potential diagnostic, prognostic, and follow‐up biomarkers for breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

Enhancing MXene Multipolar Resonances Through Metasurface Lattice Engineering

open access: yesNano Select
When arranged in a metasurface, the collective enhancement of field interactions within scattering elements enables precise control over the incident light phase and amplitude.

Collective Thomson scattering model for arbitrarily drifting bi-Maxwellian velocity distributions

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2019
In this paper we derive the equations of collective Thomson scattering (CTS) for an arbitrarily drifting magnetized plasma described by a bi-Maxwellian distribution.

Evidence for a spin acoustic surface plasmon from inelastic atom scattering

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
Closed-shell atoms scattered from a metal surface exchange energy and momentum with surface phonons mostly via the interposed surface valence electrons, i.e., via the creation of virtual electron-hole pairs. The latter can then decay into surface phonons

Magnetic Collective Mode Dispersion in High Temperature Superconductors

open access: yes, 2000
Recent neutron scattering experiments in the superconducting state of YBCO have been interpreted in terms of a magnetic collective mode whose dispersion relative to the commensurate wavevector has a curvature opposite in sign to a conventional magnon ...

Integrated genomic and proteomic profiling reveals insights into chemoradiation resistance in cervical cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A comprehensive genomic and proteomic analysis of cervical cancer revealed STK11 and STX3 as a potential biomarkers of chemoradiation resistance. Our study demonstrated EGFR as a therapeutic target, paving the way for precision strategies to overcome treatment failure and the DNA repair pathway as a critical mechanism of resistance.

Magnetic-field-controlled spin fluctuations and quantum critically in Sr3Ru2O7

open access: yesNature Communications, 2021
Sr3Ru2O7 exhibits a quantum critical point tunable by magnetic field and has been widely used in the study of criticality. Here, by using inelastic neutron scattering, the authors measure collective magnetic excitations near the quantum critical point ...

Effective Hamiltonian study of excitations in a boson- fermion mixture with attraction between components

open access: yes, 2010
An effective Hamiltonian for the Bose subsystem in the mixture of ultracold atomic clouds of bosons and fermions with mutual attractive interaction is used for investigating collective excitation spectrum.
