Statistical Mechanics of finite arrays of coupled bistable elements [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We discuss the equilibrium of a single collective variable characterizing a finite set of coupled, noisy, bistable systems as the noise strength, the size and the coupling parameter are varied. We identify distinct regions in parameter space. The results

Group size and composition influence collective movement in a highly social terrestrial bird

open access: yeseLife, 2020
A challenge of group-living is to maintain cohesion while navigating through heterogeneous landscapes. Larger groups benefit from information pooling, translating to greater ‘collective intelligence’, but face increased coordination challenges.

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Collective photon emission of two correlated atoms in free space

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2023
By preparing two distant emitters in entangled Dicke states via detection of a single photon, the subsequent spatiotemporal photon emission is investigated.

What Do CFTs Tell Us About Anti-de Sitter Spacetimes? [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
The AdS/CFT conjecture relates quantum gravity on Anti-de Sitter (AdS) space to a conformal field theory (CFT) defined on the spacetime boundary. We interpret the CFT in terms of natural analogues of the bulk S-matrix. Our first approach finds the bulk S-

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Longitudinal collective echoes in coasting particle beams

open access: yesPhysical Review Special Topics. Accelerators and Beams, 2003
Longitudinal ballistic and collective beam echoes with diffusion effects are investigated theoretically. In the presence of the space-charge impedance, the collective echo amplitude is obtained as a closed form expression.

Bulk and Edge excitations in a $\nu =1$ quantum Hall ferromagnet

open access: yes, 2001
In this article, we shall focus on the collective dynamics of the fermions in a $\nu = 1$ quantum Hall droplet. Specifically, we propose to look at the quantum Hall ferromagnet.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

« L’agriculture urbaine tahitienne : les jardins collectifs, des tiers lieux entre bienfaits sociaux et sociétaux »

open access: yesTerritoire en Mouvement
A leisure space, a collective garden is a meeting place, allowing to extend its social network. The gardens studied are also places with a dimension of civic and even political expression. This observation leads us to consider community gardens as "third
