Detection and differentiation of Colletotrichum gloeosporioides isolates using PCR [PDF]
An oligonucleotide primer (CgInt), synthesised from the variable internally transcribed spacer (ITS) 1 region of ribosomal DNA (rDNA) of Collectotrichum gloeosporioides was used for PCR with primer ITS4 (from a conserved sequence of the rDNA) to amplify a 450-bp fragment from the 25 C. gloeosporioides isolates tested.

Clinical Characteristics of Keratitis Due to Colletotrichum gloeosporioides
Journal of Ocular Pharmacology and Therapeutics, 2011To determine the characteristics of the keratitis due to Colletotrichum gloeosporioides. The medical records of 3 cases of fungal keratitis caused by C. gloeosporioides were reviewed to determine the clinical characteristics. The minimal inhibitory concentrations of different antifungal drugs for all 3 isolates were determined. All 3 isolates were grown

Keratitis by a rare pathogen Colletotrichum gloeosporioides: A case report
Journal de Mycologie Médicale, 2017Colletotrichum species have been reported infrequently as the cause of keratitis or subcutaneous lesions. The patient we describe developed keratitis after ocular trauma. The sample from the corneal scrapings grew Colletotrichum gloeosporioides as identified from morphological characters and DNA sequence of the 'Internal Transcribed Spacer' (ITS ...

Treatment resistant fungal keratitis caused by Colletotrichum gloeosporioides
Archivos de la Sociedad Española de Oftalmología (English Edition), 2016A 56 year old woman suffered corneal injury from a branch of an orange tree. Forty days later she suffered a severe ocular infection, positive to Colletotrichum gloeosporioides (C. gloeosporioides). The patient did not respond to traditional treatment or crosslinking, and had to be treated with keratoplasty, suffering intraoperative and postoperative ...

New Constituent of the Endophytic Fungus of Colletotrichum gloeosporioides
Chemistry of Natural Compounds, 2020Investigation of the BuOH-soluble fraction of the 95% EtOH extract of rice fermented with an endophytic fungus Colletotrichum gloeosporioides led to the isolation of one new benzenoid, named gloeosporioidiol (1). The structure was elucidated by 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopy together with MS analysis, and comparison of the spectroscopic data with those ...
