The spore matrix and germination in Colletotrichum musae

Mycological Research, 1992
The influence of the matrix of Colletotrichum musae on spore germination is at least two-fold. Freshly collected spore matrix, from 10- to 20-d-old cultures contains a germination inhibitor which declines in activity in time and loses its effect between 40 and 55 d.
