MOCASSIN: a fully three-dimensional Monte Carlo photoionization code [PDF]
The study of photoionized environments is fundamental to many astrophysical problems. Up to the present most photoionization codes have numerically solved the equations of radiative transfer by making the extreme simplifying assumption of spherical ...

Electron Impact Excitation of F-Like W LXVI
Electron impact excitation collision strengths are calculated for all transitions among 113 levels of the 2s 2 2p 5 , 2s2p 6 , 2s 2 2p 4 3ℓ, 2s2p 5 3ℓ, and 2p 6 3ℓ configurations of F-like W LXVI. For this

Electron Impact Excitation of S III: An Assessment
In a recent paper, Tayal et al. (Astrophys. J. Suppl. 2019, 242, 9) reported results for energy levels, radiative rates (A-values), and effective collision strengths ( Υ ) for transitions among the 198 levels of Si-like S III.

The collision strengths calculations of Ni XXIII
Collision strengths have been calculated for the fine-structure transitions among the levels of the (1s2)2s22p2, 2s2p3, 2p4, 2s22p3s, 2s22p3p, 2s22p3d configurations of Ni XXIII, over an electron energy range of E below 500 Ryd. Effective collision strengths are obtained by averaging collision strengths over a Maxwellian velocity distribution.

Oscillator strengths and collision strengths for S IV
Observations of the optical extreme-ultraviolet spectrum of the Jupiter planetary system during the Voyager space mission revealed bright emission lines of some sulfur ions. The spectra of the torus at the orbit of Io are likely to contain S V lines. The described investigation provides oscillator strengths and collision strengths for the first four UV

Oscillator strengths and collision strengths for neutral sulfur
Configuration-interaction target wave functions are used in the present calculation of collision strengths, for electron impact excitation of neutral sulfur from the group 3p4 3P state to excited states 3p3 4s 3S0, 3p3(4S0)3d 3D0, and 3p3 4s 3P0, in a close coupling approximation for the energy range up to 1,000,000 K.
