Eddoe or Dasheen are two names for taro (Colocasia esculenta). It is a herbaceous plant from the Araceae family. Is a long-established crop in Asia that was first brought to Japan more than 2500 years ago.1 It is grown in south east Asia under the names Arvi and Arbi, among others.
