Loss of proton‐sensing GPR4 reduces tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer
G protein‐coupled receptor 4 (GPR4) is a pH‐sensing receptor activated by acidic pH. GPR4 expression is increased in patients with inflammatory bowel disease who are at high risk of developing colorectal cancer. In mouse models, loss of GPR4 attenuated tumor progression. This correlated with increased IL2 and natural killer cell activity.

HQColon: A Hybrid Interactive Machine Learning Pipeline for High Quality Colon Labeling and Segmentation [PDF]
High-resolution colon segmentation is crucial for clinical and research applications, such as digital twins and personalized medicine. However, the leading open-source abdominal segmentation tool, TotalSegmentator, struggles with accuracy for the colon, which has a complex and variable shape, requiring time-intensive labeling.

On the Frobenius functor and colon ideals [PDF]
In this paper we study the commutativity of the Frobenius functor and the colon operation of two ideals for Noetherian rings of positive characteristic $p$. New characterizations of regular rings and local UFDs are given.

TRPM8 levels determine tumor vulnerability to channel agonists
TRPM8 is a Ca2+ permissive channel. Regardless of the amount of its transcript, high levels of TRPM8 protein mark different tumors, including prostate, breast, colorectal, and lung carcinomas. Targeting TRPM8 with channel agonists stimulates inward calcium currents followed by emptying of cytosolic Ca2+ stores in cancer cells.

A priori mixed hadrons, hyperon non-leptonic decays, and the |\Delta I|=1/2 rule
The |\Delta I|=1/2 rule in non-leptonic decays of hyperons can be naturally understood by postulating a priori mixed physical hadrons, along with the isospin invariance of the responsible transition operator.

Transitivity of some uniformities on fuzzy sets [PDF]
Given a uniform space $(X, \mathcal{U})$, we denote by $\mathcal{F}(X)$ to the family of all normal upper semicontinuous fuzzy sets $u \colon X \to [0,1]$ with compact support. In this paper, we study transitivity on some uniformities on $\mathcal{F}(X)$: the level-wise uniformity $\mathcal{U}_{\infty}$, the Skorokhod uniformity $\mathcal{U}_{0}$, and ...
