A Predictive Model of Human Myelotoxicity Using Five Camptothecin Derivatives and the In vitro Colony-Forming Unit Granulocyte/Macrophage Assay

Clinical Cancer Research, 2004
Abstract Purpose: Many promising anticancer drugs are limited by myelosuppression. It is difficult to evaluate human myelotoxicity before a Phase I study because of the susceptibility of humans and animals to hematotoxicity. The purpose of this study was to establish a reliable method to predict the human maximum tolerated dose (MTD) of ...

[Fundamental study of in vitro colony forming unit-erythroid assay--reproducibility and sample pretreatment].

Nihon Jinzo Gakkai shi, 1991
The in vitro assay of colony forming unit-erythroid (CFU-E) colony is a direct and most reliable method to evaluate a biological activity of erythropoietin (EPO). In general, two kinds of cells are employed in this assay system as an effector cell, e.g. bone marrow cell and fetal mouse liver cell, and the latter cell has more sensitivity for EPO.

Farklı Hematopoetik Kök Hücre Kaynaklarının Koloni Colony Forming Unit-Assay Oluşturma Kapasitelerinin Karşılaştırılması

2011
Giriş ve Amaç: Günümüzde Hematopoetik Kök Hücre Nakli (HKHN) özellikle hematolojik malignitelerin tedavisinde başarıyla uygulanmaktadır. Hematopoetik kök hücre (HKH) kaynağı olarak allojenik nakillerde genellikle direkt kemik iliğinden, otolog nakillerde ise genellikle kemik iliğinden mobilize edilip periferik kandan elde edilen hematopoetik kök ...

Quantification of colony-forming units for M. tuberculosis complex using gyrB-based real-time PCR assay.

The international journal of tuberculosis and lung disease : the official journal of the International Union against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease, 2018
It is inappropriate to select insertion sequence (IS) 6110 as the amplification target for the quantitative analysis of Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex (MTC).To develop a novel Taqman real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) for the quantitative analysis of MTC by amplifying a single-copy PCR target.Analytic sensitivity and specificity ...

Quantitative aspects of an in vivo diffusion chamber assay for normal human hemopoietic colony forming units.

Experimental hematology, 1977
The purpose of the present study was to definite some of the quantitative characteristics of the colonies formed by normal human hemopoietic cells in diffusion chambers in vivo. The cells were cultured in fibrin clots in diffusion chambers, which were implanted i.p.
