Jet coherence in QCD media: the antenna radiation spectrum [PDF]
We study the radiation of a highly energetic partonic antenna in a colored state traversing a dense QCD medium. Resumming multiple scatterings of all involved constituents with the medium we derive the general gluon spectrum which encompasses both ...

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

Fabrication and quantum sensing of spin defects in silicon carbide
In the past decade, color centers in silicon carbide (SiC) have emerged as promising platforms for various quantum information technologies. There are three main types of color centers in SiC: silicon-vacancy centers, divacancy centers, and nitrogen ...

Single-photon emission from Ni-related color centers in CVD diamond
Color centers in diamond are very promising candidates among the possible realizations for practical single-photon sources because of their long-time stable emission at room temperature.

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Spontaneous emission of color centers at 4eV in hexagonal boron nitride under hydrostatic pressure
The light emission properties of color centers emitting in 3.3-4 eV region are investigated for hydrostatic pressures ranging up to 5GPa at liquid helium temperature.

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Thermal annealing of radiation damages produced by swift 14N and 16O ions in LiF crystals
Annealing of color centers was studied in lithium fluoride crystals, irradiated with 23-MeV nitrogen and 28-MeV oxygen ions. Basing on the optical absorption spectroscopy and reaction-rate modelling, a new interpretation of the annealing kinetics at the ...
